ABOUT

Angela is a Los Angeles–based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Raised between Shanghai and Taipei, she fell in love with film at an early age, drawn to how music shapes emotion on screen. This passion for musical storytelling led her to study classical piano and violin, earn a certificate in Music Composition for Film/TV from Berklee, and pursue music and business studies at UC Berkeley.

Her recent original scores include Are You Still There?, Bob's Donuts, Way of the Shepherd, Swimming Lessons, Speaking with Color, and Professional Dirtbag - a feature documentary following climber Brittany Goris as she ascends El Capitan over five days. These films have earned honors such as Best Documentary Short at the Newport Beach Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, and most recently VC Film Festival (Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival). Angela’s work often blends live violin, erhu, and keyboard to create intimate, textured soundscapes that explore themes of social impact, nature, and the human condition.

Beyond scoring, Angela shares her music on streaming platforms and recently returned from a music tour in Japan and Taiwan, performing with ONIKHO and live-scoring contemporary dance with Resident Island Dance Theatre. She’s always excited to collaborate with filmmakers, visual artists, and performers who are passionate about telling bold, emotional stories.
